So I stopped for lunch for the second time here yesterday.
Once again it was spectacular.
The ham and Swiss is my go to and is huge.
The this time was a pulled pork chowder.
So much flavour.
The have there own smoker and do their own ribs and brisket as well as bbq.
I have yet tot try these items and am looking forward to doing so in the very near future.
Jeremy is one of the senior chefs here and he and all of the staff do an amazing job with service and the menu that is a daily changer.
A unique twist in the menu is a chalk menu board that is brought to your table for you to browse and make your selection.
With plenty to choose from for lunch as well as desert.
They also do a dinner menu after 5 I believe. (I've not been there past 3:45 so I'm not 100%)
They also offer Gluten Free Options, Vegetarian Friendly.
Cheers

This is the seniors hang out of Glenora! You know, the place where our grandparents congregate around their morning coffees to gossip...LOVE IT! Eavesdropping (not difficult, the place is empty in the morning) on their stories made my stay enjoyable and entertaining!
I will give the cinnamon bun a million stars. It was delectably crusty and crunchy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside! I couldn't have asked for better ratios of sweet to doughy to cinnamon. That bun is a must-try in Edmonton! Served warm with butter
The coffee on the other hand...emm...could have been stronger for my taste (see note about seniors above ), but a solid average cup paired well with the sweet bun. For the lack of distinguishing coffee, I've removed one star.
Found parking right behind the building (not signed), and an enjoyably homey, delicious-smelling atmosphere inside. Would certainly return. -

A cute little bistro. The soup and sandwich was delicious. The pies of course are divine. Our favorite touch was when the server brought the menu over.....a large chalkboard on an easel! Our old eyes loved that!

After passing by Vi's a few times we finally stopped by to grab some dessert to go. I ordered a slice of the chocolate fudge cake and my husband got the mango blueberry cheesecake. Both were delicious. The chocolate cake was three layers + fudge icing but not too sweet or overwhelming. It did taste slightly like it had been in the fridge a couple days (the slightest touch dry) but I kind of expected that since there was about 1/3 of a cake left wrapped in Saran Wrap. Still above average though. The mango blueberry cheesecake was delicious. Rich with cream cheese icing. The place itself serves food and tea/coffee with ample seating indoors and outdoors. The back patio had a sign that said there was a huge wasp problem outside though. We will be back to try the sit down menu (inside though, I'm not about that wasp life!)

Coconut cream pie for the win! And the banana pecan cheesecake. Oh and the keylime pie. And cannot forget the Oreo cream pie...
So basically every pie.
We started off with dinner. I was expecting full dinner pie menus like chicken pot pies, quiches and stuff. They do have chicken pot pie but their menu expands to more than pies. Soup, stirfrys, spanakapitas, ribs and more.
We arrived at 7pm, by 715pm we put two desserts away to save them. By 8pm almost half the desserts had been picked over by people coming in for to-go pies so we had to pick all the desserts we wanted to order so we'd be able to get what we wanted. By the time we left around closing time only a few cake peices were left. Don't miss out - get there early to get the goods!
There's a patio for summer pie eating and also a beautiful fireplace for winter pie eating. You can eat pie comfortably ALL YEAR ROUND!
The service is fantastic, some of the best servers I've had in a long time.
